Would you all want to stay in one place and have a meal or have a pub crawl and something quick to eat? |

Lou, I haven't been to the Island for several years (since the friend I used to stay with in Ryde passed away) and I wouldn't know where to go now. The only places I can think of is the Castle and the pub at the top of Union Street (can't recall the name of it now.) or any of the larger pubs along the Esplanade (if there are any left?) Let me know what you decide and get addresses and phone numbers for B&B for those that want to stay over. Oh, I'm excited already...can't wait to meet you all and to be in 'Vectis' again!! Viv |

don't know yet viv. It would definitely be a saturday. Jacqueline wants it in april but I don't know if that is too long to wait. Maybe march would be ok? Can you think of a good venue Viv? I'm not very good at organising things. |

Louise, I'd love to come but it would have to be a Saturday so I could stay in B&B over night and go home on the Sunday. Ryde would be brilliant....what venue were you thinking of? Viv in North Hertfordhire who spent many, many, many holidays on the Island. |

I daresay I could be persuaded to make an appearance. Ryde is a better choice than Newport because there is no need to travel once on the Island. |

A few of us did have an I.o.W. meet in September 2004. It was great to see people from far and wide, not just those from the South. I combined it with a stay in Newport to do a bit of researching. Another chance to meet might be good but early darkness in January might deter some if they have long journeys. If it was a Saturday they could stay the night on the Island though. |

Well I'm certainly interested! Could be the ideal opportunity to meet my 2nd cousin Pauline (discovered through GR!) especially as her Mum lives on the IOW! |

Keith, Was your distant Grandmother an Urry, White, Barton or Dyer? Ok that's a bit personal. :) I'd love to join you Louise, but I doubt I could get away. Sorry. |

I'll ask the girls to double up in their bedroom Anne. Not sure what to do if you suddenly get a man though. We've only got single beds. |
