I seem to remember his name was Clarke and that he was either school master or minister, or both in Cranbrook . I had a booklet about him once. David |

Terence do you remember My Grandfather's clock? My Grandfather’s clock was too tall for the shelf So it stood 90 years on the floor. It was taller by half than the old man himself And it weighed not a pennyweight more. It was bought in the morn of the day he was born And was always his treasure and pride. But it stopped---short! ---never to go again--- When the old man died! That one sounded very 'Yorkshire' because of the trumpet accompanaying (spelling mistake!)it. |
