Peterborough is not the place I would choose to be,in the morning rush hour... guess what!! they are rebuilding town bridge........it is down to one lane each way..........and where it IS wide enough for two lanes. they installed a 24hour bus lane..............daft or what? Still looking forward to it - and I must practice my curtsey!! There is 2 web sites that you can look at and a virtual tour of court setting. Bob, Yes its 18 - 70 yrs, I think I must have been about 18 or 19 when I did mine and funny old thing it was at Peterborough crown court! Debs x

Yes I did jury service in the 70s. I was disappointed because at the last minute the accused pleaded guilty (possesion of drugs). So I was not needed for very long. interesting experience though. Ann Glos

I have always wanted to do it but they havent asked me, because Im a mass murdererer and serial rapist lol! Or so some people think on here lol! Davex

Yes I was called for Jury service......I got a phone call saying not to turn up but I should phone a number the following day..............advised that all the jurors need not turn up at all.....It was Easter week and may be there were no cases....

Hi Jean, Must admit I did check and was also surprised to read that police and people who worked for them could be called, imagine if you had knicked him/her in the past!! Debs x

Jean, My hubby is in the forces and so is exempt for that reason, didnt realise how many people are still exempt from it. Debs x

Hi, My hubby got called about 18 months or 2 yrs ago and beacause of his job he was exempt. I did it once, turned up and my aunt who I hadnt seen for about 2 yrs was on the same jury as me, but because she knew the accused she was taken off and went onto another one.. mine was very borring!!
