Hi Buttercup Well I dont belong in for a start, and that was made clear a long while ago, when I posted a thread and a male said something, so thought yep I know where I stand. But revenge is sweet as they say. I bide my time. Regards Yvonne

Cliques get in everywhere don't they LOL....... seen it in the School Playground ( The MUMS!!) Regardless of this these boards are still addictive wether your typing to the threads or just reading them.

Hi Debi - unlike BC, I'm far too ashamed to say lol - most of the time I'm on the pc I'm have GR on, although I might have it minimised while I'm doing other things. But I love it - some great threads and comments, a lot of people who seem really nice. Hi Yvonne - I'm really sorry that happened to you. I think most people feel it's clicky until they've been here a while. I said this the other - there are only clicks in the sense that people who are on at the same time most days tend to get to know each other and a lot of regular posters have been to meets and got to know each other that way. That's just people being on friendlier terms with each other than they are with others. There may be groups of people who try and exclude others but I don't think that applies to most people on here

Hi Debs, Like David I have it running when I'm on the PC and look in from time to time. I wouldn't say I'm a member of a clique but I have made some good mates on here and I look out for their postings. But if a thread is interesting to me I'll answer it whoever wrote it. Gwynne

Too long! the 'clique' thinggy- hilarious! i was in some what of a conflict with another member the other night - 3 of us disagreed with the majority of people of so it seemed. The member whose thread it was sent me a PM that said ''of course , you are one of their clique''-Implying that the three of us that disagreed with him were a clique- and yet one of the other two and I disagree more times than we agree usually! If im in a clique its my own Clique! Just me! jess x

Hi Deborah, Somedays it's minimised where as it used to be always minimised. I normally take a quick look in at some stage in the day but I am mainly an evening/night reader and posterer. I can't really say per day but it can be anything from one hour on a bad day when the cliques take over the place (joke) to a good day a few hours because it' can be better than the TV which I am not keen on. David have to disagree this time, feels strange but quite refreshing at the same time ;-) The cliques are getting even more noticable on here but not always do the cliques start on here, so it makes it even harder to feel a part of something like that, injokes stuff that makes no sense to the outsider reading it the innuendos, very difficult to be part of that. When I'm not at work I spend far more time on here than I should. Maybe I'm naive but I have no idea who is in these cliques we keep being accused of having on here. I started using the gen board in April this year & yes, at first I felt a bit of an outsider but that would be the same with any club I joined. In the real world people can see your eyes & expression, it is easier to make up your mind about someone. In a cyber community one has to join in gently at first until people get to know you & attending a few meets will speed up the process. I always read what I post very carefully before clicking add message as I know that people sometimes don't read what I say as I mean it & I possibly read somethings that others post not as they mean it. Jess just to clarify my answer wasn't anything to do with & I wasn't thinking about that type of thread when people are accused of being in or one of the clique it is strange because the ones I was thinking of no one would even suggest it. It's not the serious threads that show this, more than light hearted ones as with argies again during the past few days I noticed it was the lighter threads that caused them!!! I have said in the past & it's been proved again more argies start on lighter threads than serious ones, I stick by that. Pat x
