DVD's are always a good bet Jill, so that you can get a bit of peace and quiet every now and then. Dianne xx |

If she's already got what she wants and she can't think of anything, job done, I say! Seriously, you could offer to give her a treat - a trip out somewhere, maybe when the weather is warmer? Or make a charitable donation but which she can see the results of - Oxfam do some. nell |

I could buy hundreds of things for my girl - it's the boy I have trouble with! My girl is 9, she loves anything arty and really wanted a Mandala Designer, which I have got her. On her list she has put things like coloured card, highlighters etc. She had a calligraphy set last year which she still uses. She is also into Bratz so loads of that stuff too! She also likes reading - Narnia books, Famous 5, Jacqueline Wilson. Could buy the whole of Claire's Accessories too! She is just getting into clothes and is growing so fast that she always needs something new. Jigsaws are great too - not too hard, but its something you can do together. Maz. XX |

Thanks for everyones comments....given me loads to think of now.... maz - I wondered about the narnia book set for Lou, but a friend thought they would be too old for her...I've already got her some books....the Little House on The Prairie Books and some by Jean Ure who she loves.... She will be 9 in Januray. What age group are the Narnia aimed at do you know? |
