Had a phone call this afternoon from my 78 year old Aunty, rushed to her house and found her on the floor looks like she has broken her hip. Couldn't get hold of her children all had their mobiles off, how useless are some people? I would be grateful for your prayers for her as she hasn't been too well for a while now. I will be back on later, off to find out how she is. Thanks everyone. Love, M.

Oh dear, its a good job she could get to a phone. I asked my dad over and over to have one of those emergency call discs round his neck but he said he 'wasnt a dog'. God bless, hope she gets on ok. Important thing is to try to get her to get up and about as soon as she can.

Morfydd Thinking of you and your auntie. A few years ago, my neighbour broke her hip. She didn't have the phone. I rang her doorbell when I got back late at night and found she hadn't taken her milk in. She had slipped on her kitchen floor and broken her hip the day before. Somehow she managed to get to the front door to tell me. I saw straightaway she'd broken her hip and we called an ambulance. She made a good recovery, but I was sad that she'd been lying there all night without us knowing. At least your auntie was able to summon you! nell

Morfydd We went through the same thing twice with mamgu (sorry - grandmother). She was to nosey (her words not mine) and fell in the night. Both times she ended up having her hips pinned. I hope you auntie makes a speady recovery (and you are able to contact you cousins). Healing thoughts coming her way. Lunar xXx

Thanks Lunar. No need to apologise for the Welsh Grandmother. Her children know now, they came back just after, they live as close to her as I do, but not very caring. They had gone shopping and turned their mobiles off. A case of out of sight, I'm afraid. M.

Best wishes to your Aunty. It must be frightening to hurt yourself like that and not know when help might come. It's a good job she has you. :-)
