Ann, On BBC News 24, someone was reported as saying they heard a plane overhead shortly before the explosion, but that is unconfirmed by official sources. We certainly didn't hear one - we were asleep until the first big explosion woke us. >*|*< |

At the moment they are saying that there is nothing to suggest it was anything other than an industrial accident. Ann Glos |

Penny It's just incredible - I can't believe what I am seeing!! Can't help but think this will have an effect on fuel prices and related things like - flight prices etc ................ Just hope they get it under control and everyone is okay - but I guess that could take days !!! |

It's a couple of junctions away from Luton airport so not that close to link an attack - however that depot does supply fuel to the airports!! Penny |

Linda OMG already?? - that was what went through my mind straight away - what with that and it being so close to the airport - I have doubts about it being an accident somehow !!! |

Hi all If you don`t have SKY then this is being covered on BBC1, i first heard about this at 7am as my daughter-in-law rang me from Luton to say her windows had blown open. They are saying on the news for people in the area to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke. Lyn x. I do hope people are ok. |
