Why are people posting threads thanking people for Christmas cards? Do you write or phone the people who aren't GR members lol - have I been badly brought up cos I haven't done it yet? :) and why do some people post the thread headings in capital letters? Is it to make your thread stand out? I've obviously got too much time to think about things lol |

I usually thank other people for cards when I see them. If I do put thread titles in capitals it usually means I've forgotten to take the caps lock off lol |

Personally I put mine in Capitals because I find the thread titles so hard to read when the board bunches up on itself !! Hurts my eyes something chronic ............ And - yes, I always thank people for cards I receive :O) |

Hi Dave, I don't thank people on the boards for cards but I do thank them privately. And I don't post titles in capitals because that's seen as shouting, according to netiquette. And I always mind my manners. lol, Gwynne |

I don't usually thank people for Christmas cards, except people with beautiful handwriting ;) If I'm emailing someone anyway, then I will say thanks for the card. However, I always thank people in writing for gifts, and have brought Jordan up to do the same. As for the threads in capitals ... erm... sorry, I'm guilty. But I do it for the same reason as someone else mentioned earlier - when the titles all go small and squeezed up, you can only read the ones in capitals lol! Mandy :)) xx |

David, I don't thank people for a Christmas card unless I am talking to them soon after I have received it. I don't post very often but when I do I usually put the title up in capitals. I often get overlooked on this board (sob, sob) so if I want to make a point I want to be sure people LISTEN TO ME. Jan, Wondered why they call you the Quiet One. I know now. LOL Aunty Jean x. |
