susie manterfield(high wycombe) Report 31 Dec 2005 10:49

yesterday afternoon hubby got a phone call from his sister asking him if he would take mum to hospital!.the dr had been out and wanted her admitted immediately!!!. hubby raced to the other side of town and picked up his mum . she was very breathless. her heart isnt beating right.in august she had a stent fitted and seemed ok.she had a further angiogram in november and they gave her a clean bill of health. but apparently she is now saying that she cant even walk up the stairs or to the front gate!!. the hospital were very concerned last night and there is now mention of a pacemaker being fitted. terry is so upset he adores his mum,but we know that wycombe general have a fantastic coronary unit so they will look after her . love susie

thankyou for your good wishes,i really appreciate it. terry has just phoned the hospital and spoken to the ward sister. mums heart rate is still up and down and not yet regulated. they told hubby that its because the medication that she was on isnt yet out of her system. we are now wondering whether she was on the wrong meds!! her family doctor has been changing her meds all the time which to me doesnt seem right. i do hope that it is only the medication that has done this and not anything else. we will be going to visit her later and will update you when we find out more. love susie and trerry

Hope they get Terry's mum sorted out soon. I assume she is in Wycombe General. They are very good there and have state of the art equipment. It could well be that its her medication as something of the sort happened to me 7 years ago. love len

Glad your m.i.l. is being looked after and sorted out with medication. My cousin (68) from Buckingham, has been having similar probs and has been on blood thinners and all sorts and now she has to have a pacemaker fitted too - I think she is going to High Wycombe too. Glad to hear it is a good place - I have only got to know my cousin in the last 3 or 4 years and am very fond of her. Hope mi.l. is soon up and about again.
