Nothing stands out from 1996. The kids were 10 years younger, so was the house and so was I. All I do know is that I wasn't sitting at a pc and the only boards I knew about were the ones on the floor! Daisy

Years ending in '6' seem to be major uphevals for me! 10 years ago I was in a job I HATED (at a large mobile telecomms firm) and was looking for another job. Traipsing round the country going to interviews. Was offered 2 jobs but neither appealed and were both in London area. Ended up going to California in mid-1996 and working there for 9 months!

ten years ago I was a full time civil servant, quite happy in my job. Husband took early retirement in 1994 but was working as a consultant and earning very good money, although away a lot with his work. My Mum had died two years earlier and dad had had a stroke the year before so we were travellinh 150ish miles as often as we could, especially in the summer as he had a large garden to keep up and used to 'supervise' us doing it. the following year he went into a nursing home where he lived until christmas 2001 when he died. Fourth grandson was born later in 1996. Now we are both full time happily retired with a lovely family of two children and five grandchildren. Ten years time, I will be 75 and Tony 77, so i suppose my greatest wish is that we will both still be healthy. I hope to have knocked down a few more brick walls by then. I hope we are still able to go on living in this house that I love. I hope all children and grandchildren will still be healthy and that maybe the eldest who will be 27 and 26 will be happily married or in a happy permanent relationship. Ann glos

10 years ago. My youngest son got married, to the lovliest girl. She is the best daughter in law, I love her to bits. They now have two beautiful children. My husband was working very long hours in the Construction and I was a supervisor at the local Tech College. (Both retired now) I was visiting my father in a nursing home three times a week he had Parkinson's disease and also Padgetts' disease. He passed away in 1997. Lost my mum two years later in 1999. I still miss them so much. Ten years from now Ohhhhhhhh my goodness I will be 73 then but I really hope that Hubby and I still have our good health like we have now. Although I am very proud of what my son has achieved I know he still has a lot inside him that he wants to do and I hope to see him reach that goal. I also hope I'm still around lol. Regards Jackie

10 Years ago we were living in our brand new home and it was perfect. My partner had an accident and lost his smell and taste and our social lives as a couple came to a dead end, I was still employed where I am now. We moved house in 2002, In 10 years time I hope to be in a lovely house again, as I hate every bit of this house and miss my other one so much I cant even look at photo's of it unless I start crying. My other wish for 2016 is to have had a facelift by then. Regards Yvonne

10 years ago was a truly horrendous time for me. My daughter went to live with her dad (7 at the time) and hubby and I were both out of work and living in a cold bedsit in South Blackpool! Kyle was being bullied at school! 10 years on............ Daughter has own flat in Blackpool and we do lunch every Friday! Hubby and I both have good jobs and have a semi in Cleveleys by the sea! Don't know if it was luck or hard work and determination lol Kyle is 20 this year and loves his job in a Nursing Home for the elderly! Julie xxx
