My Dad is Pops to my children, Pop-Pop when they were small, and still Pop-Pop to his great grandchildren. My grandson, 9 calls his other grandad Grandad Oof. That's because he always went Oooph! when my grandson used to run & jump up at him. I'm just Grandma

ex mum in law is Nut nanny to my four LOL simply because when eldest was younger she once said your nanny is a right nutter........ and it stuck!!!! was nutter/nutty nanny for while but as they've all grown up been shortened to Nut Nanny My mum is granny crisp... cos she always gave them crisp and her name is Chris. My Nan is other nanny. This is becasue she lives near to nut nanny and when said we was visiting nanny, the kids would say 'which one? Nut nanny???' and we'd say 'no other nanny' again it simply stuck. Hubby nan is simply Nanny..but when trying to tell them apart she becomes Nanny Kit (her name is kit) Hubbys mum is granma!!!

Well I'm nanny tortoise and it get lots of laughs especially in the supermarket when he wants to get my attention! Who has tortoise as a surname. Other nanny is nanny fish which is okay. (Ive got the tortoise she has/had the fish, they all kicked the bucket). My daughter has said to my 5yr old grandson not to call me that any more. He said I will always be his nanny tortoise, so there. My little man! My grandson calls my dad Grandad Grandad & did the same with my hubby's father. He just seems to distinquish between the generations. My hubby is just grandad. My brothers' kids call my dad Pops. I find that really weird & my little grandson wonders who the hell they are talking about. Such is life.

I am not a grandmother ... yet. My son calls my mum grannie. He is very amused that my grannie is my mum's mum, so that mummy's grannie is the same as grannie's mummy! He invented names for my in-laws, which were his way of saying Grandma and Grandpa, and although they are now sadly no longer with us, we call them Marna and Parder. nell

My first husband,[real grandad] has been Grandad in NZ but I guess from next week he'll just be Grandad. Eldest grandson is the only one who knew my lovely man & he called him Poppa. Vivienne
