For my wife: Celtic Woman Deep peaty brown lochans Surrounded by moorland Waves whipped up by harsh whistling winds The lament of the curlew chills the grey water And the rocks are bound down By incessant motion. And some see these dark peat bogs As sulking and lonely With angry grey skies always ready to mourn But it’s here I feel free In this kingdom of peace My own little Goshen. Deep peaty brown eyes Surrounded by twinkles Hair whipped up by warm searching hands The whimper of love tingles my spine And the doubts are ground down By loving emotion. And some see these dark eyes As lacking in beauty With mournful lines almost ready to cry But it’s here I feel free In this ocean of peace Of our love and devotion.

Not quite sure why the Saharas want to rhyme But leaving Paul at the bottom is a crime So added words to nudge him into first place To put a smile on his cheeky face
