Old Codger Question? Why, if you manage to lose 3 stone and become a really slim young lady, would you want to piece your body and decorate your skin with a tattoo? surely that's not a reward to yourself for the sacrifices you will have made whilst on your diet? it must be a punishment? Jacqui (with pierced ears and that's all!)

i had a tatoo last year, and would have another tomorrow, but its whether to have it on my other shoulder or lower back i had a little angel , hes about 2inches tall, id now like a picture i have in my room, its an angel/fairy, but id like to get it priced first, it didnt hurt, just felt the pressure of him leaning on my back, and i think thats down to the FM i suffer, after 2 days that eased, but id have it again,

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 16 Jan 2006 17:35

Hi Lisa I have a tattoo on my abdomen - and have to admit - yes it hurt - but the tattooist told me it was one of the worse places to have done. A misconception that being a 'fleshy' area it wouldn't hurt lol - oh and it took 45 mins in all. Had my belly button pierced about 8 years ago - didn't feel a thing !!!!!!!! They clamp it length ways - what they did after that I have no idea I was too scared to look LOL - but it was over and done before I realised :O)) It will be sore initially - bending over - waistbands etc may cause discomfort. However - be warned - it can take anything up to 12 months to heal entirely !!!!! As a friend thankfully warned me !! Mine was ticking along nicely after about 10 months when suddenly it became really septic. It was so bad I wore a cotton wool pad taped over it for two weeks with antiseptic cream squeezed into the belly button. I seriously was on the verge of giving up and removing it - then lo and behold - it just cleared up suddenly, and has been fine ever since :O))))
