Just been looking at the website of a free local history publication that up until last week I didn't know existed. The website says, *Wirral Champion is a free distribution courtesy magazine covering the desirable and affluent residential areas of Wirral.* Birkenhead isn't included although it is referred to in all the other areas listed! |

The more improved people seem to live in the following areas: Oxton & Prenton Bebington South Wirral (la dee dar) Wallasey (eh?) Upton, Greasby & Moreton Hoylake & West Kirby Heswall & Pensby So almost everywhere except Birkenhead then :-( |

So delightful to see Upton on the list. One has rellies there, one does, you know. (Not mine, HIS.) Daniel, Birkenhead is probably not on the list because it's 'up and coming', which is what the estate agents say about all the downmarket areas in London. CB >|< |
