Bryan What a bizarre situation! You certainly did the right thing by saying no, if it was innocent then the woman who knocked on your door is not fit to be childminding in the first place! Let alone the thoughts of what could have happened next if it was a con....... |

Bryan, I don't think this is a male only what if situation. I think if a woman knocked at my door and asked me to look after a strange child I would be very hesitant to do so. i would probably suggest the police station as well. |

Bryan, you did absolutely the right thing. I also agree with what Ann's said - if someone knocked on my door asking me to mind an unknown child, there's no way I would do so! It was a very strange request! Hope the child is ok today and was reunited with its parents. Mandy :) |

Crikey ! Supposing you were a paedophile...you would have had a field day ! I would definitely knock on those doors and ask if the mother lives there, if she does warn her of her childminders actions, and say if it happens again you will not hesitate to call social services for advice. (sadly some parents find this behavior regarding children acceptable in their own country.) You did the right thing Elaine x |
