I know...weird...but I am serious.....some questions Did I dream that Ancestrey used to give age of person at death? If they still do ....where cos I can't find it? Does 1837 tell you? If it does.....er could someone have a look for me please? I know this is a Records...but I think I am being a dpstick here so they def will....thanks from a despondent Lemon

Having just looked at ancestry - I checked something, and looked at BMDs while there - my mother's death registration September quarter 1983 gave her date of birth.

Tina...it is a Mary Simpson, she died between 1851 and 1861.....I have a likely looking candidate in June 1857, but it was really her age at death as the two census have 10 year gap in her age. She would have been registered in Wellington Shropshire. Thankyou XX

Mary Simpson 6a 491 Wellington, unfortunately they didn't oblige in 1857. I'll look elsewhere

Just looked in my file and found the following: 1866: Death indexes recorded age at death 1969: Death indexes showed date of birth Hope this helps. Mandy :)
