About 1996 Accelerating off a roundabout..a Car decded to turn right thru central reservation from the opposite direction. Totally finished for our car, her main concern was to move the cars off the main road , as it transpired ''so daddy wouldnt see it was her fault'' THEN later claimed we had followed her into the turning (that we'd dragged the cars into) and that we'd hit her!! As we had no engine/bonnet or front left at all and the side of her (daddys) car was bent like a bananna, we'd have had a job! Sorting it all out, later with the police, the policeman was i no doubt whatsoever who was at fault, and was heard to say that she should stick to her ''flippin horse'' Came home 300 miles on an AA wrecker, and next day discovered my leg was broken! Dizzy Lizzy 205090 Report 17 Feb 2006 12:45

In 23 years driving, the only incident was one night I parked hubby's car at work (hospital, night shift) and the handbrake failed. 30 minutes later it slowly rolled across the carpark and bumped into a car owned by the bereaved relatives of a lady who had died a couple of hours before. I was mortified. We had only just had the car serviced, and had asked the garage to look at the handbrake as it kept slipping, but clearly they didn't. Oh, and no speeding tickets or points, and only 1 parking fine. Liz

Two, but not in my present car - and neither were my fault, both went into me, one into the back when I stopped at traffic lights and he was right on my tail, the other clipped across the front of my car as she zipped her mini out of a car park at high speed. Both these incidents happened 16 years ago. My poor old car was also hit three times when I wasn't in it - once in a car park (dented bumper and broken rear lamp) and twice while parked in the road outside my former home . The first time, by a huge trailer on an articulated lorry (new side panels and new doors) and the second by an addict high on drugs and drink who had driven about 3 miles from a party in the early morning, bumping into all sorts of vehicles, garden walls, trees, etc, along the way. The Police finally caught up with him when he crashed into the garden wall belonging to one of my neighbours and the car (which had been stolen) couldn't be driven any further. My car needed a new tyre, new rear side panel and lamp. How glad am I that my present car can sit happily on our driveway! CB >|<

Never had a car crash in 50 years and ¾ million miles, unless you count backing into an 18inch-high post in a car park. Had a motorcycle crash or two though, before switching to 4 wheels. Len

Had one min or bump which was my fault. Was approaching junction slowing down to line up behind car in front and my foot slipped off the brake and I slid into the back of the car in front. It wasn't damaged at all but mine was !! Not proud of it but after 40-odd years of driving I hope I can be forgiven. No tickets at all.
