I did have piano lessons for 10 years but not played for years. Don't think the fingers are as supple now so would struggle. Wish I had kept it up but piano's are so big. Germaine x |

Learnt the Recorder at school and still play (the whole family from sopranino to bass), taught myself to play guitar several years ago and I still play. Had violin lessons at school and transferred the skills to playing the cello but not played for years. Can pick out tunes on the piano with one finger and can sing. Used to be good at sight reading music....now I'm cr*p! Normally play/sing by ear now. Viv |

Was taught piano from when I was 7 - 11 years old but gave up after many rows about practising. However, have taken in up again in recent years - what a struggle trying to remember how to read the music. It did come back in dribs and drabs however and although I would be a music teachers' nightmare, I do play purely for my own pleasure and amusement. I also have a small keyboard but play it as a piano !!! |

Had lessons at various times on the piano and recorder - was hopeless at practising though. Tried the guitar in senior school but it hurt my fingers and I had to cut my nails - no way lol !! At least I learnt to read music and can still do so. Charlotte is learning the trumpet and plays in a brass band. Jamie has started the clarinet and loves it. Both are hoping to do Grade 1 this year!
