do you all cook for you teenage kids, or do they get thier own meals???

Daniel

Daniel Report 20 Feb 2006 16:15

Every teenager should cook their own meals. By the age of 13 they're old enough to manage. Didn't do me any harm.

My (slightly older than) teens consider 'cooking a meal' to be microwaving a ready-made without burning it. They still struggle with washing up though! Bev x

* copies Daniels reply to send to his mum* my kids never cooked microwave meals it was usually pasta with a sauce that they made or stir fry my daughter makes better pastry & cakes than me!!

My Mum studied for her Counselling Cert when I was 12 so once a week I learnt to cook for myself and the siblings. Been able to cook ever since just don't do it much now there's only me. xx
