WELL DONE THAT GIRL!! Most companies are using COMPETANCY BASED interview techniques at present. Which means you need to be able to give them details how you do things! For instance, they may ask how you would deal with rude customers.... so you come back with an example of how you did and when! Be careful on naming people, companies etc as this will show that they can expect you to do the same to them when you leave. NOW GO KNOCK THEM DEAD!! xx

thanks everyone!!!! Think i've got my outfit sorted now!!! Dont have any decent trousers (wear jeans all the time!) so am going out to buy a pair tomorrow! Have a white shirt and am borrowing smart boots and coat from my friend up the hill.......hair up, natural make up (not too heavy) and hopefully that will be okay!!! Unfortunately dont have the money to go shopping for a full outfit tomorrow.... Am nervouse but excited!!! I havent had an interview for over 3 years and even the last one was fine cos I had worked at the shop before and knew the boss well.....Before that was 1991!!!!! pmsl

of course!!!!! I will make a point of mentioning those particular skills then!! lol And I know that Anne and Julie can vouch for me being able to communicate on the phone!! pmsl I have to nip out now but.......if anyone has any interview techniques they could pass on to me I would really appreciate them!! Though i can talk for Scotland - put me in an interview and I clam up!! I'm usually a bubbly, outgoing, happy wee bunny but at interview I simply dont know what to say or how to sell myself to them..... I spoke to the lady on the fone who will be interviewing me and she sounds very nice and relaxed so hopefully that will put me at ease on Friday, but any tips or comments would still be very useful!! I'll check back in later when I get home Jill x x
