Paul, Yep, you know I was thinking the exact same thing today - I definitely need this trek as a break, just feeling completely burnt out right now after another 'fun' day. Let's just say people running around like headless chickens and goalposts being shited with less than a hour to go before our revised deadline, while we're all tearing our hair out. Feel like I've still got s**loads to sort out before we depart in about a fortnights time. Andy

Oh yes Christine thanks for asking, and he has since produced with help from his lady, a beautiful stunning perfect baby girl she is 7 months now. DIL had emergency brain surgery 9 weeks after we nearly lost Grant, then lost a baby.....so yes....now no matter what my cup will be half full, cos when it all happened I knew nothing I could have done, or all the worrying in the world would have stopped it, so now each day is new and a blessing XXXXXX

I used to be Christine, and it is hard, but nearly losing my son 2 years ago when it was least expected, made me say 'no' and I turn my taps off at night and sleep. But it isn't easy, I know XXXX

Hi Christine, nah not really feisty, just old enough to know now that worrying and fretting wont change whats coming. When it comes then I just try to think 'I can get through this'

Unknown Report 22 Feb 2006 18:38

Half full, and if it threatens to leak I get off my ass and do something to tilt the balance, cos if I am dead tomorrow I don't wanna spend my last day worrying.

Wellif you had just seen what I have pulled out of the cupboard you would say that my glasses - all of them - are fullt o overflowing - 16 bottles of red wine, 5 bottles of champagne, 2 bottles of brandy, 3 bottles of port a bottle of absinthe, kentucky bourbon , 2 half bottles a bottle of gin and bottle of vodka a bottle of bacardi, I would be drunk for a year on that little lot!! hic!!!

By the way Andy... totally know how you feel. Am on call this week. On top of that, I supported a site power outage at the weekend, so did several hours work on Friday night, Saturday, and then 7 hours on Sunday. Last night I was working for some guys doing performance testing from 10pm till 2.30 this morning... then got paged at 4 for a minor problem... and then was up at 7.30 and in work by 8.30. I've got to do the same again tonight too, but starting earlier, around 7pm I think, and some more work tomorrow night. I expect this to continue for the next 10 days or so. Am looking forward to the trek so that I can take a breather !

If your glass is always half empty then I suggest you get a smaller glass; if its always half full then you are using glass of correct size. Duh !!

Oh dear, Andy! Feeling drained and only allowed water on Saturday! Old Pete's working overtime by the sound of it. ;>))))))

I try to be optimistic - but doesn't the News dampen our spirits? (not spirits in a glass!) Lily

I have long since realised that, whilst I went to the toilet, someone had knocked over my glass and what little was in it was smashed on the floor.

depends on what mood i am in. Sometimes life is a Sh*t bag, then you realise others dont have as much as you and then it s okay again. Its kind of ...'in relation to' everyone elses glass ... Isn't it? jess x

half empty this morning. was at work till 10 last night, and then got the call to be in early this morning as the files we'd sent last night had gone somewhat Pete Tong. On lunch at the moment, but feel a bit drained at present.
