whats up jill?

off we go to the ice skating first thing this morning. Everyone all excited and having a wee laff about who was going to spend most time on their backsides and who was going to be doing the triple salco etc...... Gets on the ice and were all a wee bit wobbly. Elliot skates off after about 5 minutes quite the thing and was getting all cocky with himself lol......Finlay held on to me and her auntie for dear life for the first wee while then ventured off looking very like a new born giraffe (which was hysterical by the way)......Louise was giggling her wee head off and trying her best - doing not too badly I might add and everyone was happy!!!! Then..........Lou lost her footing and went down......giggling her head off up she gets, immediately turning round and falling straight back down again!!....Up once more but before she could find her feet again she fell really badly missing the step out of the rink by about an inch and she couldnt get her hands out quick enough to stop herself and hit her head and nose pretty badly. Heard this horrible smack on the ice and she has a graze on her forehead and a nasty cut on her nose. Poor wee thing was so shaken and the giggling had turned to howling. Saw the first aider who confirmed her nose was NOT broken and although she did venture back on the ice for a wee while - the fun had gone out of it for her. I just thank god that she didnt smack her face/nose on the actual step otherwise I think the damage would have been so much worse.... Oh ...and .......guess what happens on Wednesday at school.....yup!!! School Photos!!! lolol

Interview went ok thanks Diana......was very much competancy based questions. Will find out next friday x

Oh poor Louise - I can hear the crack and feel the pain - that ice is damned hard when you fall unexpectedly. Give her a big (((HUG))) from me Jill xxxxxxxxx

oooooooo thats made me feel sick. Give her a hug, but a gentle one.

thankfully she didnt knock herself out or anything like that.....she was cold afterwards (other than the fact we were at an ice rink)....but other than saying her head is sore she has been okay. Got some cream for her cuts and grazes and calpol for the pain. Have checked all day if she feels dizzy or sick or anything but she just keeps saying...my heads sore. The first aider checked her nose and her eyes etc. Once she felt ok I got her back on the ice as quick as I could so that hopefully it wont put her off forever - she was doing so flaming well too and the smile on her had been lighting up her lovely wee face!!!

oh poor thing, hope it doesnt hurt too much.....as for thephoto, at least its one you wont forget, my son when he was 3 fell over and got a black eye the day before nursery photos...were were on our way home from the hairdressers...he had just had his hair cut so he looked nice for the photo!

will get some make up out for the photos or ask the photographer to make sure she gets her better side!!! lol Am obviously more concerned about Lou than about their photos, however its the last school pic I will have of all three of them togethr as Elliot goes to high school this year!!! Typical!!! lol

Think all of them have had something for a school pic before......Fin had a lovely cut on her nose for sister in laws wedding photos, various lost teeth in countless photos!! Elliot had one of those stick on tattoos one year and I hadnt noticed it!! Its in the photo tho!! lmao

Dancing on Ice - oh that looks just like me this morning!!! I was soooo graceful.......lol
