Ex wife called me tonight to ask if I could take my daughter to the doctors . She (Bethany) is nearly 14 and talk about a job to make her tell the doctor all the symptoms but eventually we got there. When I was waliking her home she called the doctor stupid and I told her off as the poor man was only doing his job. Teenagers ggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr |

Just back from the High School Visit and have to say thank god I'm not alone with the atttitudes issue!!! lol While up at the school visit I enquired about football for Elliot, was met with the usual 'you never give us money for anything at the tuck shop' (empty purse from said same issue) , then it was can we get a chippy - no you've had your dinner. This is the school that Elliot wanted to go to and I quite fancied his catchment school.....however I really liked it up there and would be happy for him to go there providing he gets a place! Of course when I said all this to him afterwards, he was like......'see I told you....you never listen to me blah blah blah ' Hmmmmmmmmmmm........ Now....I wonder about this football malarky - will I or wont I enrol the cheeky wee blighter!!! lolol |

Well now... I have a 14 year old son, who was gorgeous until he turned 13. Now he has 3 downy hairs in his left armpit and has decided to be a TEENAGER! Giving me a bit of grief at the moment, but I was whinging about him at work, and one of my colleagues told me she went home a few days ago to find her two children (boy aged 16, supposedly becoming more responsible) and girl off to university this Sept, actually FIGHTING. I thought she meant they were having a slanging match, but she said son had kicked daughter on shins and daughter had scratched son's face!!!!!!!! nell |

I can remember coming home from work one day (children 14 16 and 18)and finding one daughter had cut the other daughters hair found one daughter had thrown the other ones make-up etc down the road and to retaliate the other daughter had cleared out the others clothes and they were the opposite end of the road.Poor son the middle child had been left for dead as he had tried to stop them.Oh happy memories. Hmmm, i could lie to you and say it only lasts for a short time....but you wouldn't believe me, lol My teenagers are 19 & 21 and tonight they are lucky not to be sleeping in the local park! However, after world war three they are now in their beds, sleeping like the angles i used to have, while i sit here trying to lower my blood pressure and wonder where the heck it all went wrong, lol,,,,,think it was the age of 12 or so, lol |

HI ALL,IVE GOT 2X 8YRO BOYS,14 YRO GIRL,17YRO GIRL,18YRO GIRL,AND 6 OLDER STEP CHILDREN,7 GRANDCHILDREN, TEENAGES ARE FAR THE HARDES TO UNDERSTAND,THEY SEEM TO THINK THAT TIME HAS CHANGED SO MUCH SINCE WE WERE TEENAGES (IM ONLY 39). IM STRICKT,BUT VERY LOVING A FRIEND AND ADULT IN THERE LIFE,I DONT JUST SAY NO I EXPLAIN MY REASONS,I THINK ITS IMPORTANT FOR THEM TO HERE OUR MISTAKES,EVEN IF WE DONT THINK THEY ARE LISTENING. JUST TO BE THERE AND LISTEN (EVEN IF ITS NOT WHAT WE WANT TO HERE,)NO ITS NOT THE EASYEST THING BUT BEING A PARENT CAN BE REWARDING. I HAD A LIFE OF LIVING IN FOSTERCARE BIG FAMILIES AND SMALL,NICE AND BAD,THIS I THINK HELPS ME TO COPE AND MAYBE A LITTLE MORE UNDERSTANDING. THERES TIME WHEN I JUST HAVE TO GET INTO MY GARDEN TO CLEAR MY HEAD,SOMETHINGS DO GET TO MUCH. YES ITS VERY TUFF,BUT MILLIONS BEFORE US AND MILLIONS AHEAD,BECOME A PARENT,GOOD LUCK TO ALL. |
