Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 22 Mar 2006 12:00

I'm another Ocado fan. They are on time, polite, will bring everything right thru to kitchen if you want, very rarely are there substitutions. Something popped in the bag this week (£1.99 healthy risotto chilled meal) and he took £10 off the bill to cover it and the inconvenience. Deduction was made before the charge went through - no waiting for a refund. Sainsbury's are rubbish too - things you haven't ordered, charges for things not included, crap substitutions. Maz. XX

my husband went down to tesco yesterday afternoon and they said the money had gone in and did not know what happened but as a goodwill gesture said to gary to get a packet of nappies from the shelf. he told them about the first delivery driver and the duty manager said once we finish having counselling to deal with the trauma they have given us he hopes we go back lol checked the bank this morning and finally money has been returned to my account. better late than never i suppose. went to sainsbury instead last night cos was still desperate for shopping. the only thing i dont understand is why we have problems with them when my M-I-L lives 400 yards up the road and has no trouble annie

Thanks Penny. I will give it a try. UPDATE I just registered to find out if they deliver in my area and they asked for my address, two telephone numbers and email address. I am not ready to order anything from them so I hope they don't now bombard me with emails and phone calls. Lynne

Annie If you're pretty confident that what the bank is telling you is correct i.e. the money isn't paid back yet, but Tesco is still insisting it is - ring them and ask them for proof that they've paid it as you're about to contact the police about the money having been stolen en-route - see if thats not the kick up the erse they need

As Annies mammy I am raging for her - I rang them and voiced my displeasure at their lack of Customer Service. No-one treats my wee girl like that and gets away with it!!!!

ended up phoning tesco myself who say money was transferred back to account on friday and to phone bank , which i did and told if that was the case i would have had it on monday. phoned tesco back again and got same bloke who said couldnt uinderstand whats happening and would call back. eventually hedid and says the money definetely got put back in account. and then had the cheek to complain he had spent an hour looking for my money. THATS HIS BLOOMING JOB!!! he thinks that a sorry and wont happen again is fine even though i kept saying that cant trust online cos both times been messed up.ended up having to hang up on him though cos he was arrogant and just said sorry as if it made it all better. im still 50 odd quid missing out my account! annie

Well.... my delivery finally turned up 24 hours later. No apology on the form and still a delivery charge deducted! I had most of the items I'd ordered plus someone else's beefburgers, carrots & onions. Being a veggie I was none too happy with the beefburgers! And no reply all day to the email I sent them last night. The delivery driver, who was very polite and apologetic, looked extremely embarrassed at the service I'd been given and now has the task of passing my complaint on. there endeth my rant and there openeth the bar of choccy which was delivered 10 mins ago!

I also use Waitrose, it comes on time, there are no silly substitutions and everything is colour coded. Very happy with it. did try Tesco, but NOT happy with their substitutions and delivery times

Mrs.Hartley,Perhaps they think you are related to 'Hartleys Jam' people or perhaps the wife of the man who wrote that book about 'Fishing' and are therefor 'Very Wealthy' and can afford to wait. :0<)))). However seriously, send an Email to their complaints Dept. Attention of The Managing director. This should get a result. It did for me. Best Wishes, Hal.

Ocado got the thumbs upon This Morning today. They road tested them along with Tesco Sainsbury and Asda. They particularly liked Ocado cos they colour code the bags according to the contents :O)) Might give it a go sometime - do they charge for delivery ???

Change to Ocado (Waitrose). They deliver from their warehouse, not a supermarket, and in my opinion are very good indeed. I tried all the other online delivery services, all were rubbish in comparison. Their delivery people are polite and helpful. They all have mobile phones and call you if they are going to be EARLY...I have never had one late delivery. And their website is easy to negotiate. Don't know where you live Mrs. H. so you will have to check that they cover your area. Dee x

I had trouble with them last week. 10 items missing!!! Phoned their 'customer services' - woman was most unhelpful - no alternative apart from refund - couldn't speak to supervisor as he would only say the same as her & anyway he was busy!!! Emailed them a complaint & heard nothing!!!! Penny

Funny you should mention Tesco! My delivery slot for tonight was 7pm to 9pm. At 9.50 I rang the online number to complain and they said the delivery was running 1 hour late so therefore should be with me soon. At 10.40 I phoned again and decided to reschedule the delivery for tomorrow evening. Firstly because I didn't want all the aggro of putting it away at this time of night and also because I would expect the frozen food would be rather soggy by now. Then at 11pm the phone rang (hubby was in bed!). The store said sorry but the delivery driver never turned up for work and I wouldn't be getting my delivery tonight. I explained that I'd rescheduled, which he was not aware of. I asked him how come they rang me at 11pm to tell me a driver who was due to start before 7pm hadn't turned up? He said sorry mate! I've sent a 'nice' email to Tesco online. I feel better now - rant over! Viv

Last Year when I was stuck in the house for over 8 months, I used them and could not fault them what so ever. The delivery guy actually used to bring the shopping into the kitchen and only once in that time was there a prob with one item. But Annie, they are offering a gauranteed service and if you have had a prob damn well complain! I would, but then I also thanked them last year for all their help. Errrmmmm where am I going here, to bed me thinks!! Kim xxx
