Hi! I am not from Stoke originally, but my husband came from Stoke and we lived there or in that area for quite a few years. We lived in Hanley, Bucknall and Porthill for a while. I worked at Chatfield's Garage in Hanley for a few years and enjoyed my time there. I hope a few more add to the list. Sylvia now in Perth Western Australia

Most of my ancestors are from this area... Ginny, i have quite alot from Audley too ;)) as for me.... well just an hiur away in Nottingham, not the potteries but close... ish..lol

Hi Kath, I'm not, but there is a concentration of people with my family name in Stoke area, have yet to find a link but would like to!

Hiya, I'm not from Stoke, but my in-laws now live in Bucknell, we were up there yesterday and I got to do what I love doing up there, going round Hanley, shopping, I love the old fashioned shopping towns and Hanley is brilliant. Ginny you say you are from Madeley, is that the Madeley in Staffs or Madeley in Shropshire? Helen
