Okay i admit to putting my foot in it at timesbut here goe's this thread wont be here long before i delete it.. I was a watcher on here for a long time a very long time before i jumped in,you were very nice to me from the start, You have supported me in my dark times an iv'e had a few,laughed WITH me and AT me i love it all, But somthing happening people are getting hurt by others ,Please stop hurting each other it's tearing apart the best thing here FRIENDSHIP TRUST AND LOVE,and we all need that WHOEVERE WE ARE,ido so PLEASE BE KIND TO EACH OTHER, Sorry if this offends but as i said this thread wont be here long

i always say if you cannot say something nice then dont say it at all. sometimes i am totally confuse at things that go on here, and think WHY? i know we all have our own ways of looking at things but at the end of the day, we are all put on this earth to try and make things better for others i feel. tina x

Gwen so true my post re Reb is the first time I have commented on some of the things that are said and done on this board, Surely its is for love and friendship and not hate and there is too much of that in the world to day as is, we come on here for all the right reasons if you don't like what someone says ignore their thread and read others its like they say it's a supermarket here if you don't like what someone says then choose someones else's words don't argue and snipe at each other for goodness sake grow up ok you can't agree with everyones opinion so just shut up and say nothing its that easy unless of course you are a sick person who thrives on dramas of your own making please be friends onnhere or I too will leave have enough real drama in my life I don't need to cause or be involved in any on here love and best wishes to all

Sadly, Gwen it has always happened on GR. I enjoy the debating threads, so I certainly don't think you shouldn't express opinions that disagree with others, as long as it's done politely there isn't a problem. There are those on here I am far away from as far as politics goes but that doesn't mean I 'hate' them. I still get along with them on other threads and sometimes we even agree. The difficulties arise when it becomes a personal attack instead of a difference of opinion, there is no excuse for that. I have seen very personal and hurtful things written here from time to time. There are also those who, for some reason the eludes me, enjoy fanning flames and post with the intention of causing trouble. Gwynne

Well said Gwen - my mother always said 'it costs nothing to be civil'. It's strange, but when I walk down the street in our small town I often say 'Good Morning' to complete strangers but only to older people and I receive a response - if only a cursory nod. I would never dream of greeting 'the young' who seem to wander along as if in a dream. I'm not knocking our youth but it seems that civility has died with our generation.

Gwen, I agree with what you're saying, but this is nothing new. I've been a Gen Board contributor for around 18 months, and I've seen this nastiness and back-biting going on from the start. I've been the victim of it at times, but apart from the odd sharp comment (on the Board for all to see) when someone's been out of order or been attacking me - which I refuse to tolerate, I've never seen the need to resort to being horrible to people I don't like. I just don't bother with them. As Gwynne's said on another thread, we can't all like one another, and we don't all have the same likes, dislikes or interests, but we can at least treat people fairly and with respect. That's surely just common courtesy. CB >|< :>)
