I was amazed too Daniel, I actually sent a mail to the Hospital Admin to say how fantastic it had all been - he was everso pleased to get a compliment! They said it may grow again, but its a year now and no lump in sight (no pun intended). Before I went everyone said, Oh you dont notice a little lump like that. But I did! Id be driving along, look in the little mirror and all I could see was this poor tired looking eye with a lump. Afterwards, all the people who said they hadnt noticed it said Oh, your eyes looks so much bigger and brighter now!! If it worries you get it sorted. And Id much prefer a scar to a lump - you can make up some interesting story about diving with pirhanas in the amazon or something.

I'm sure you are gorgeous with or without the red/white blemish. My whole nose is a blemish, inherited Dad's large nose. But I'm ever so cuddly, bet you are too.!!!!

If they can't do anything proper at the next electcution session I'll be off to the G.P and say, right, cut it off. I'm amazed that your's got done on same day! I said it only takes 10 mins but they can't do it again until July! Rediculous.

Daniel, I had a lump on my upper eyelid, on the actual lid line. It was really annoying, I could see it all the time, it got into focus and it looked awful, like an old crone. I finally went to doctor, who sent me to a surgeon at the hospital - I went in expecting a 'well, what do you expect us to do, its not maligant' but they were really nice and I emphasised it was affecting my sight line and within 20 minutes I was walking out of the hospital without the lump and with a big padding over my eye. I didnt expect anything to have been done that day, so I had driven myself and I sat in the car and thought, well, lets check if I can see - so I took off the pad and yes, it was fine, so I drove home. After a few days of a black eye it was fab. No old crone lump, just a lovely clear eye line - go see a plastic surgeon.

Definition: A spider angioma is a collection of tiny dilated blood vessels. The vessels usually radiate out from a central point and resemble the legs of a spider. (I just have the central point) It's on the very tip of my nose so pretty prominent. anywhere else wouldn't be a problem, but along with the usual teenage skin problems I had in my younger days (not the most moralising stuff) this has failed to go away as it's a seperate thing all together. I just want it gone.

Dan, if its so minute can you tell me why you need to cover it? Is it a birth mark? Sorry to ask daft questions but I don't remember any mention of it being disfigured!! I've had plastic surgery on my nose and trust me I would recommend my surgeon but only if it was essential to getting it done. Sending you a huge hug xx

Daniel Report 20 Mar 2006 13:17

I hear what you're saying but I know it's there and as modern as I am (that reminds me, get new top hat) I shouldn't really be having to put a dab of concealer on every day. Nah, it shouldn't be there and I am on a mission to erradicate the evil one.

Daniel

Daniel Report 20 Mar 2006 13:07

Thanks Bec. It's the only thing that bothers me really. The one thing that wont go by itself.

I have got a bit of the physique of a 1920's boxer. Perhaps I should, but then you hear about brain damage. We wouldn't want to develop any mental problems.
