When I was working, we had to wear skirts, no trousers allowed, the first thing I used to do when I got home, was change into comfortable trousers. When I retired, I pushed the skirts to the back of the wardrobe and there they have stayed. Nowadays, I wear what I feel like wearing, I just please myself. June xx |

Hi James, I wear skirts but, like Dee's, they are ankle length. Mostly I wear trousers, though. Gwynne |

No, they're definitely not! Went to a local club last Friday night and many of the patrons were wearing skirts of many different lengths. One in particular got a lot of attention. VERY short, sort of dirty denim colour, chain decorations from waist. Teamed with lowcut white top and dark waistcoat, showing 'decolletage' and top of padded bra. Trouble was the makeup didn't quite hide the 6 o'clock shadow, hairy arms and legs and tattoos. Yes, it was a 'bloke'. Pam |

Hi James (and Sandra) As I said earlier I wear trousers or long skirts (If you saw my varicose veins and cellulite you would know why) Dee ;-)) I went to correct my spelling mistake and managed to delete my previous post ( senior moment, sorry) |

I am sure a lot of varicose veins, were caused by the stockings which ladies used to used a sixpence to tighten up the stocking, well my mum did!!! |

Speaking of feminine, where have the feminine ladies gone to? there dont seem to be many around these days....... ( I know that lots are wrapped up, against the cold) but its either teenagers with skin like a rhinoceros or women that seem to be trying to look like men....... Bob |

i was reminded the other day why i prefer trousers - singing at the pub when i felt a tug at my ankle length gypsey skrit. i turned round, looked down and ther was a youth laid on the floor looking up the back of my skirt!!!!!!!! i gave him a kick and said something very unladylike then carried on singing. i was fuming but didnt want to cause a fuss so didnt tell my other half until we were almost home. tina x |

Two things, I was very displeased when tights came into fashion. doesn,t bother me at my current age. More seriously, have seen a couple of ladies recently wearing skirts and those half 'nora batty' stockings, the tops of which really don,t have to show. Happy days |

I was really pleased when tights came into fashion, it was a bit cold with a short skirt and stockings, as said earlier, trousers were frowned upon on girls back then, cor, that makes me sound old.lol jean |
