Lily my thoughts exactly! I want a nice wedding, not huge but nice, we want it the way WE want it, its our day (and of course for our mums too) lol! Paul, dont be such a sour grouch lol, we have already spoken to our friends about travelling, as long as me and my best friend dont have children in the next two years at some point all four of us are going together, did start making the arrangements but none of us felt right about it so have decided to hang on to our flats and wait!

Go for it, Steph. I was engaged within 5 months & married a year later, at the age of 22. We are now coming up to our 23rd anniversary & still very happy. You know when its the right person - you don't have any doubts. Carole

Well, Princess, I will tell you a secret........there are over 100 Americans coming from American to this blimley wedding..........I think at the moment I and my 17 year old will be the only ones there from son's side as no one can afford to travel half way across the country and pay £100 per night (wedding over a preiod of 3/4 days) each for the hotel......plus clothes and pressie, I might just buy a new pair of jeans for the day, just to get up their noses lol....can you imagin it lol......daughter was married in local register office, party at home, with BBQ, piss down with rain all day, you know what......it was the best day ever lol.......just do it......take care......Lilly

Follow your heart - you know deep down what's right for you. My husband and I ( sorry, didn't mean to sound like the Queen then ) got engaged after 5 weeks.11 years and 2 kids later, still going strong. Not always been hearts and roses, but both decided we were in it for the long haul, so you take the rough with the smooth. All the very best Sharonxx

haven't read whole thread - would just say that if everyone waited until they could afford a baby, then there would be very few children born! if you are committed enough to each other to consider marriage seriously, then good on you!! I think you are both very sensible and are doing this exactly the right way. Maz. XX
