Sad when you do something you regret later but they will still be in your mind, especially if you do what you mentioned with the whole picture. Will message you about the threads. Liz |

For those who regret giving things away, here's a true tale. When I was 12 years old I went on holiday and stayed in a B&B with my parents in Morecombe for 2 weeks. The lady that ran the place was getting on in years and spent some time chatting with me on a couple of rainy days. She used to enjoy embroidery and I was just starting to learn. She gave me a large box of silks saying that she couldn't do needlework any more and had been waiting for someone to give the threads to. I have now sewn for over 40 years. I still have a few of the threads that she gave me and using her threads has given me immense joy. I have occasionally wondered if she regretted giving me her box of memories, hoped not, and hoped that she had an inkling of what a wonderful gift she gave me and good memories of the sewing she used to do.. Destroying something isn't quite the same but I do think it's similar and it's not stupid either way. What happens, happens. In the end it's the memories that matter, and we have the ability to keep them positive. |

Well, you're a silly duffer aren't you, but at least you have some great memories. And lucky you for being so artistic in the first place! Don't be too hard on yourself, otherwise I might have to send you to the Naughty Corner for a little smack! Ouch!! CrewLew xxx |
