The baptism thing doesn't worry me because I don't see it as having much relevance. I just wish they'd baptise some of my Islington ancestors because no-one else seems to have done. |

I was approached by a Mormon Disciple or whatever they call themselves on the river bank in Bedford. I talked to him for an hour with me doing most of the talking. In the end he wished me luck and left me with one of their bibles. He didn't try to convert me. Went to the Cambridge centre a couple of times and they were most helpful with excellent facilities. Once again no attempt to convert me. Would use the King's Lynn centre if I could ever find it open or even find the times when it is supposed to be open. Keith |

Well I am very grateful for anything that will help me trace my family tree and I have had help and encouragement from the Hyde Park LDS centre. As for paying £4 to get the parish records, it would cost more if you bought the microfiche, more if you used the Society of Genealogists' Library and more if you had to travel to the relevant county records office. nell |

Keith, Where is the King's Lynn Mormon church? Is it on the Reffley? |

I went to the local LDS and they were very helpful.... I did try discussing Mormon beliefs but was politely but firmly informed that they have a policy of not discussing religion in family research sessions..............the equipment was poor but I suppose that they are not subsidised by council tax |

my nearest one has a couple of lovely volunteers. They dont know much about computers but they will do anything to help. They can be a bit overpowering sometimes. They charge £2.50 per film and I have just ordered 3 films!! |
