Breadmaker Owners Wanted Please

Has anyone got a really nice recipe for a breadmaker please got a present at Christmas of one but the bread comes out very heavy as for the rolls well enough said, they would knock you out if you were hit by them or do you have any tips getting desperate. Norah |

did you not get a book with it- i think they are make specific recipies. mine always come out well, but I do the whole kaboodle in the machine Yummy too jess x |

Hi Norah, I have a bread machine & bread comes out lovely. Do you use proper flour. Put all liquids in 1st then dry ingrediants on top. Should be ok if you follow instructions. Keep trying. Hilary. x |

Got mine for Christmas 2 years ago and have used it 10 times at the most. I really should use it more cos the bread is luverly. I don't recall the recipes would have to dig out me little book. |

Hi! All thanks but yes I use the recipe to the last detail . Son and Dil gave one to us and one to her mother and she has the same problem the bread is so heavy so was wondering if anyone had a recipe for extra light bread? otherwise it will end up at the back of the cupboard Norah |

You can also use the pre-mixed packets from the supermarket you just add water soooo simple. Come out right everytime. |

two pound loaf water 1and a half cups skimmed milk powder 4tbsp sunflower oil 4 tbsp sugar 3 tbsp salt 2 tsp strong white flour 4 cups fast action yeast 1and quarter tsp use setting 1 basic Add in order listed Susan |

The pre mix packets from the supermarket are great, otherwise make sure you use strong bread flour, add the liquid first and add a small bit of crushed vitamin c. |

Hi! Margaret was wondering about the mixes think I'll give them a try, thanks and thanks for the recipe Susan but it looks almost the same as my own beginning to think its the breadmaker itself Hilary it makes 1lb and 11/2lb thanks all Norah ps its a Morphy Richards anyone got one? |

Maureen is vitamin c ok for white bread thought it was for the brown? and Sharon its milk powder thats used wonder if I could use ordinary milk oh what a to do easier to buy Norah |

Norah Still need to use milk powder as recipe states, but if recipe gives just water as liquid content, use half milk, half water instead. Good luck Sharon xx |

Norah, I had the same problem, that the loaves were a bit on the heavy side, and they hadn't risen that much. I tried putting it straight in the oven when the machine had finshed, for half hour, it rose a bit more and wasn't as heavy then. Gem:)))) |

I have used vit c in both, I dont make a lot of bread now, and have tended to use the packets lately. |

Norah... Keep trying. There is only one thing wrong with the bread from my machine, - it's all eaten before it's had a chance to even cool properly sometimes. Let us know how you get on. I will see if I can find the book that came with machine, then I'll check the recipe. |
