well, have spoken to conveyance , who was contacting his colleague,(acting for other party) still has no mortgage offer in for our vendor.Nothing is exchanged ( as i was lead to believe it was, in that we'd signed everything ) and the chances are we are stuck here now until after easter. Totally bummer - and it was our vendor that set the pace! <GUTTED>

we are the removal men, or should i say its a DIY job, so that isnt a problem. going to ring the conveyancer at 10am - assumed yesterday no news was good news , as he didnt ring me back ( let a message if any news ring me). Today i'm cross that there was seemingly no news when there should have been. Dont want to be seen to be over reactive or middle aged menopausal psychopath though!

Donna, dont know, heard no more than the phone call on friday afternoon still!! The annoying thing is, i cant see where the hold up is, what the problem is. My buyers are very patiently waiting with her parents, money to buy this in their solicitors pot, the money from my sale + cash ( which again is in MY conveyances pot) buys my new one my vendor is downsizing into a house , who's owner has already moved out and he has they key and is trotting stuff up there daily! My vendor appears to be the hold up, with his lack of mortgage offer ( not thru on paper). As he is the owner of a fairly large house, that is 'down sizing' I cant understand that . i assume ( maybe wrongly ) that it is his only house ( maybe wrong) so cant really understand where his 'mortgage offer ' comes in at all - surely he just reduces the mortgage he has.? am i missing something here? jess

The vendor can chase his MO up? He must know who its with?

Jess Bow Bag Report 4 Apr 2006 09:48

he said to me, when i finally got to speak to him on sunday that ''its wasnt a problem'' - he claims to not know what they are talking about. Agian he promised to ring me yesterday when 'he'd sorted it out' - he didnt ring either getting very despondant with all of this - one day we'll be saying''do you remember all the hassle buying this?'' and guess we'll laugh but..... jess x

It is part of exchange that a completion date is set and entered into the contract. That's the whole point of exchanging contracts! Has your conveyancer definitely exchanged on your sale and purchase? If so what completion date was entered? If he has exchanged on your sale without the purchase and entered a completion date which has passed they you will be served with a notice to complete and charged interest! Ring and shout at him, we expect it if we b***s things up! Julie xxx
