I know its a different person, but same subject i guess. Did anyone see Ian Brady's cell in the papers a few years back, it was 'a day in the life' of thing. His cell has carpet, matching duvet cover and curtains, his own TV and VCR, along with Hi Fi (may have been a radio), As he has nightmares (get that eh) he has tablets to help him sleep. All this because he is at risk from other inmates!!! Shameful.

Do you not have to have a death certificate to have a funeral?

My dad died in January and we got an interim death cert. The full cert was issued after the inquest in march .

She died whilst in the custody of the Prison Service. An inquest or post mortem many have been necessary, just as a formality, so that nobody could accuse the Prison Service of doing away with prisoners. If there was an inquest, this could have delayed the death registration. But this is guesswork.

Her first name was Myra. I am absolutely certain that there is no way she could have been secretly released. First of all too many people would know/too many tabloids would offer stonks of cash for the story and the relevant authorities would know that if the truth got out heads would roll. nell

I don't think they would do it like that. As said before Mary Bell had a new identity and so did the jamie bulger boys and though given a new identity we know that has happened. They didn't lie to protect them why would they for her.
