Lucia, What a clever girl you are, I am nearly 66 years and only realised the other day that the 9 times table all add to nine. even when you go past 12 time 9. so the best of luck in all you do. I am still learning now. But, every so often have a break and say hello to us please. Sally. XX

We'll have a new debate when you get back on the usefulness of logarithms! Alternatively, 'Should Napier have been drowned at birth?' LOL Best of luck with everything and see you soon. Mags xxx

Good luck with your studying. Will miss you on the boards but your exams are important. Perhaps allow yourself a treat at weekends to help with withdrawal symptoms. Look forward to seeing you back when all done & dusted. Hilary xx

I know it will be tough to stay away from the boards and we will miss you but sweetie keep your head in the books and do the best you can. See you when you finish all the exams. I will be watching to make sure your not on but then again a little sneak once in a while will help with the withdrawal symptoms. LOL Good Luck Debs

Logarithms are useful in two situations (1) Numbers with large ranges have logarithms that do not cover a large range (2) steps in equal ratios have logarithms that differ in equal steps. The sound intensity level scale is shorthand for the range of human hearing. For every increase in the intensity by a factor of ten the SIL increases by 10 dB. When two sources are played at the same time the SIL is just the sum of the two seperate intensities. WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT LOGS ARE USELESS NOT NEEDED LOL! Davex
