My teenage son wears pink, and it doesn't seem to do him any harm where the girls are concerned, lol Mind you i am not too sure i would describe the majority of his clothes as fashion...lol!!

If you have a branch of The Officers Club near where you live then I recommend trying there. I usually find it pretty good and it's not expensive.

Although my sons are now in their 20's they've always worn pink if they felt like it. My grandson claimed pink as his favourite colour when he was 8, and when his friend said 'Isn't that a girls colour?' he replied with some scorn in his voice, 'Colours don't belong to boys or girls, they're just colours.' :-)

His friend last week was talking about shaving their heads!! Think his mum talked him out of it until after he has had college interview and been accepted.

My son needed a new suit for interviews and got one from his mail order catalogue dirt cheap, dark brown with a very very pale pink stripe and he wears a pale pink shirt and pink and brown tie and looks amazing. I must get a photo sometime soon for the album, have never seen him look so smart and scrummy - very dark hair and blue eyes.

Nah it wont be a problem. BUT, if there is, he'll realise and change. Simple.

Does not really matter was just curious as all the shops seemed to have brightly coloured clothing all over and had to hunt for anything dark. Just wondered if he would stand out as the only one wearing black!!

Daniel Report 8 Apr 2006 21:13

I'm not too sure. As long as he is respectable does it really matter? Like I said Primark is the one for deceny and Longmanesq style. Also Matalan and the occasional La George in House of Asda.

so is it just a phase he is going through. Once he starts college he may well mix with art students that are into bright clothing. He is in a rock band as well so they only wear dark co;ours. They are in school talent show next month. Fingers crossed cos i know he wants it to take of.

Our 18 year old would never wear pink. He's only into black or grey. He will wear navy, sometimes white & sometimes dark red or dark green but only under pressure [when I hide his others under the towels in the airing cupboard] Got a wardrobe full of T'shirts that all fit him but never wears them.
