I love accents! When I lived in Wiltshire as a bar stewardess, punters would keep asking me to say...'Lemonade' or ' Luton airport' (remember Loraine Chase, the advert?) I aint a londoner but sound like one. Spose cos I married one....or was it two? doh! gawd knows! Divorced em boffe anyways..... Gawd blimey guvnor me brains gorn! saw that Malc, sometimes people don't consider that there are different lingos in different parts, I found that out by talking to you bunch. Being in Canada sometimes I think before I write as how we say things might not be same as over with you. Like once met some fellows from the UK and they kept calling daughter and me silly twats, we werent offended of course as know what it means in UK but someone else over here might be a little offended cause in Canada twat means (well never mind). PMSL. Don't worry about it just keep on posting

Good grief malc, I've just responded to Ginny's thread cos she's getting hastle over her jokes! Intolerance and small minds I call it. I have to admit I write better than I speak - I may live in Winchester but I don't speak like I have a broomstick up me wotsit - I'm 'ampshire - maybe not born nor bred - I just pick up accents.
