I went back to work today after 5 weeks away after having shingles and Bells Palsy. My right eye is still not fully recovered (not opening or closing properly) and I'm struggling with my computer work. My boss said he'd do a particularly difficult piece of work on the computer if I'd make the tea! Isn't he sweet? LOL Sue xx |

Oh cheeer me up time LOL - I added to the other thread and had to delete it - it upset me so much to write it! Nicest thing was probably my then 4 year old granddaughter singing 'Old Mac Donald' - she had done all the cows and ducks etc and decided that Old MacDonald also had a Granny. I thought 'wait for it' LOL - but when she started with 'With a laugh laugh here and a laugh laugh there' Another time I remarked to my husband that I wished I had had as much patience with our two as I had with our grandaughter. It was a very simple thing but it meant a lot. All he said was 'You did' Mags xx |

My mother in law (now sadly gone) told me that I was the daughter she always wanted but never had. and on a more frivolous note another mum at a parents' evening, stone cold sober said that I always looked 'effortlessly glamorous'. I was staggered, especially as her sister was a beautician and always looked brilliant! nell |
