He text me today, asked to talk, we have had a long chat tonight and he is home again....but only for a short time. He feels it is time for him to stand on his own two feet, and we are going to help him find somewhere the right way rather than as a result of a row. I am relieved to have him home and talking to us, we still have a long way to go, but it's a start. I am now going to get a bath and a decent nights sleep...or so i hope, but just wanted to let you all know he is home. Thanks for last night/today. Yvette & Mal xx

So pleased for you all. That is similar to the result of a similar incident with our son. We decided that to remain friends, it would be a good idea for him to move out. It has worked well for all of us and 16 years later we are good friends. Jacky :-)

Lol sorry i didn't type quick enough :-) Not so sure he came home cos he wanted to, he was quite blunt about the fact he couldn't stay with his mate for too many nights, had no money and hadn't packed sensibly....however he did say sorry, so we let him come home. Now all he has to do is appologise to his sister...that was our stipulation. I think from what he hasn't said as much as what he has, he shocked himself as much as he did me, and feels bad about it. Also the girl he has been on/off with the past few months is at the root of this reading between the lines.....just cos we won't let her stay overnight here with him... Apparantly we are treating him like a child and trying to stop him having a normal life in her opinion.......so nothing to do with the fact we have a small house with an 8 year old child in it and we need to have rules that make us all feel comfortable! We have explained that if we got to know her and they were in a steady relationship it would be something we would reconsider, but as things stand we are not comfortable with it....we only met her for 5 minutes 3 months ago what does she expect! Oh well, at least he is talking to us and is now in his own bed, so i am much happier :-)
