Mags Report 3 May 2006 22:23

And there was me changed the word 'get' to 'be' LOL Mind you when Phil called from the bedroom saying 'come and have a look at this' I did wonder for a second or two! They came through the gate that leads onto the driveway from the old railway embankment. The security light went on on the garage and as if they were in a spotlight, they played to the audience. There was something else the other side of the gate but we couldn't see that clearly but I'd presume it was 'Mum'. I thought it was early for cubs - obviously wrong! LOL Mags xx

Jan - You're never more than 10 feet from a rat. Isn't that what they say? LOL Best take a baseball bat to bed with you.

JanJan78 Report 3 May 2006 22:38

lol, But I'm sure it would have been really impressive to see the badgers as it's very rare to see them so close to civilisation. My wee fella was mesmerised the other day by two eagles when we were out for a walk. We have a fishing harbour in front of our house and we have a very tame seal in the bay known locally as sammy but it's quite common for us to see porpoises, dolphins, minke whales etc we are quite the paradise!!

Mags

Mags Report 3 May 2006 22:55

Oh wow! Never seen an eagle - well only the ones in NZ - and they're stupid. You don't see many live ones because they think they can stare down a truck while they're feasting on road kill.! We get foxes going up and down the driveway too. My husband had just put the car away and met a dog fox as they both turned the corner of the drive at the same time - don't know who jumped furthest LOL. Mags x

JanJan78 Report 3 May 2006 22:57

yes the eagles were really lovely to watch but got bit nervous when they started their circling routine fink it means they have spotted dinner or sumat so leggged it quick smart!!!
