Louise I was on continuous membership, and paid £7.50. My debit card is a new different number to the one I had last year. When prompted to renew, there was a space to change my card number etc. I had no problems. Elaine x

Question - if you are on the auto payment but your credit card has run out so you have to change the details on your account details, would that not change the price? Just a thought. Louise

I too paid 9.95 but then I did'nt renew immediately as I was away on holiday. I was a bit surprised as I had an email saying it would be £7.50.

Denise - please tell them again that it was on auto or continuous. Joy (PS sorry, I feel I failed you)

I am furious I have received a reply from GR saying: Thank you for your email and your contact. I can confirm that only members that have an auto renewal on there details get the upgrade of £7.50. Best Regards Rachel. Well I have sent them one back saying I think there email was cold and do they not have customer care as they never even addressed me by a name or number, I have asked if there is a way of speaking to a support manager, I told them I was shocked by their email and the way they treat people. Do you know if there is way of cancelling my membership as it wasn't up for renewal untill tomorrow. Denise.

I've just checked my membership details and I'm on continuous membership, still paid £9.95 though. I did miss renewing by my expiry date as I was having problems with broadband connection for a while. No idea what my membership number is, can't even remember how long ago I first joined, think this is my 2nd renewal. M

Hi All, Thank you for your comments, I have just sent an email to GR explaining how loyal I have been and I have never been in bother on this site or broken my membership ( Mrs goody two shoes) and said I feel it unfair that I should have to pay more than other members and as a loyal member I think it's unfair can I have a refund. I will await there reply. Denise.

Joy Report 5 May 2006 09:53

Denise - just seen this. Please contact GR and tell them that you had it on continuous. I'll find the email that I received from GR telling me that if it was continuous then I would pay the same as before, that is £7-50. Joy

JackyJ1593 Report 5 May 2006 07:56

When I renewed the email told me it would be £7.50 but when I clicked on renew it said £9.95. I wrote and was told that the price is now £9.50 but as I was invited to renew at the old price they refunded the difference. MInd you, I got the rest back when they lost my photos off my tree! Earliest member using the boards is Lynda Pace (HRH). Her number is 120 and she joined the same day as Denise, the 5th November 2002. I joined on the 8th and my no is 1593 so numbers went up quickly. They are now into 7 figure membership numbers. And Denise of course you are special. Everyone is. :-)) Jacky :-)

Hi Denise I don't think they've brought in the price change very well - too many people paying differently - but I still think just under a tenner is really good value:)
