I am 'hopping' mad!!! I just had a run in with one of my neighbours..She has parked her car across my drive, so i am unable to get out..(i have to pick up short stuff from nursery soon) I politely asked if it could be moved before i have to go out and she snapped at me, her 'excuse' for 'having' to park there is the fact that she's around 17 stone in weight and cant walk far..and , in her words.. '' It's alright for you, standing there in your size 12 jeans eating sweets, i have an underactive thyroid, you look at me like i'm a fat ****, and you dont realise it's medical!!'' She has now stormed inside...She'd better come and move it soon!!! i was sooo flippin' polite too, it's okay to have a bad day but my god!!! i am fumming now!!! LOU X

Toothfairy, I have this with one of my neighbours and parking . You can call the police and get the car moved as it is an obstruction! Mine was ongoing , so used that as last resort and they no longer park behind me..lol!

ots always someone elses fault, and that doesnt excuse her pluddy rudeness, ask her again and say that you need to pick up the tuddler , if she doesnt move it in 5 then tell her you will call the police

Call the police - she is illegally blocking your access/exit !!! They will come and make her move it - my dad had to do that once.................

She's always really difficult to get on with but today has really peeved me.. I might be stood here in flippin' size 12 jeans but i work hard to fit in them!!! Mon-gym 1 hour Tue-gym 1 hour Wed-gym 1 hour Thurs-kickboxing Fri-karate Sat- swimming Sun- kickboxing (twice!!!!) AND!!!! I dont have a thyroid gland, i had to have it all removed due to three tumours on it last year, am lucky to still have my voice box and have No natural thyroxine in my body and have to take it in tablet form every day for the rest of my life!!!! GGGRRRRRR!!!! Am going to knock on her door now and ask again, if she doesnt come and move it this time i might flippin' floppin' ram here... (or call the police!) LOU X

Just a thought - but if she had her own driveway like you - she could then park right outside her own house and have even less distance to struggle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi hun, I have an underactive thyroid and have gained weight but i never thought that gave me a liscence to park where i like!!!! She is causing an obstruction and if the police were phoned she would be made to move it. Dont let her get to you!!! xxx

Sparkle that has really made me laugh! Size 12 you should have given her a dirt look and said actually I'm a size 10. People who visit my neighbours have a bad habit of parking over my drive - solution park over theres a few times. Louise

Why is that neighbours and parking problems go hand in hand? My next door neighbour thinks that the space outside his house is sacred ground and god help you if you park there. Thats just the tip of the iceberg with them, plenty of other things to many to mention, so more of an incentive to park there:-)) But to park over your drive thats another thing, especially when you've told her you need to go to pick up your children - thats just nasty. There's nothing worse for a child when their parents are late picking them up. Surely she could have walked a few more metres, goodness sake! I know some people have legitimate reasons for being over weight, but it sounds like you haven't had a great time yourself. What a cow!! I'm angry for you! Let us know how you get on. If need be we'll send the heavies round!!

People who visit my next door neighbours always park in front of my drive, even though we have a no parking sign on gate and have asked politely many times. Police told us to either phone them or take registration number of car and they will either come out and book them for obstruction or visit the people at their home later and book them, this carries an on the spot fine and points on licence. I hate people who say being fat is medical, I have been on steriods for two years and will be for life and have put on three stone, which I needed, but I work hard not to put on anymore, it is hard, but not impossible. I have polycystic ovary syndome and I have gained a feww pounds (a few!!!) but I wouldn't dream of parking anywhere I liked just because I would have to struggle, I would park where I'm supposed to and flamin well walk like veryone else duz.I certainly wouldn't use my weight as an excuse I'd be mortified to try that one!! Apart from anything else duz she not realise that the extra struggle to get to her house will burn off some calories and therefore also (one day!) be a size 12 skinny malinky eating sweets in front of her portly neighbour!! Fink she only threw the 'you don't know what it's like' card coz she got some issues to deal with and you got the brunt of it wifie.Hope you managed to pick up your little un!! :-))))))
