Buy a bike Daniel then you can be on time, stay fit and save money at the same time. That's multitasking - a rare skill for a humble male of the species, but one well worth learning. Take it from me - the working mum cum wife cum gardener cum housekeeper cum financial manager cum taxi service cum project planner cum social secretary in our home. Angela |

I hated Chaucer - good job I didn't live in the 1300's - wouldn't have understood a word anyone said! Does your tutor read it out all showing-off-styleee in olde englishe?? anyway, here's the synopsis I found - sounds a bit freudian to me but then thats probably my dirty mind ... ' The story starts of with a lady who lives on a farm and has three cows, three pigs, a sheep named molly, six hens, and one cock. The cock has a dream that a beast comes and eats him while he is strolling in the yard. The cock's wife tells him that he shouldn't worry about the dreams because he is just constipated and needs to take laxatives so his dreams are normal again. Then the cock and the hen argue about paying heed to dreams and the cock ends up not paying attention to his dreams. Then on a beautiful day the cock spots a fox hiding in some cabbage and runs away. The fox uses his cunning to trick the cock into singing for him. The cock starts to sing and closes his eyes for dramatic effect, and while his eyes are closed the fox picks him up by his neck and runs away. While in the woods the cock tricks the fox into talking and while the fox is talking the cock frees himself from the mouth of the fox and flies into a tree. Everyone who was chasing the fox finds the cock in the tree and takes him safely back to the farm. ' so now you know :-)) Maz. XX |

I'm not really in mood for career guidance at the moment; I very rarely take advice anyway. Of course what you're saying is common sense, and of course if I did find myself in a professional enviroment of working for someone else (God forbid) then absolutely, I would have the motivation. But the current situation is plagued with a lack or morale and enthusiasm. So, in conclucsion, roll on June. |

Not that I really have to explain this, but I will. I left here at 10:45 to depart via bus to the college, a 10 minute journey away. The buses are said to be every 10 minutes. Great. This will be no different to any other day. Or so I thought! I gave it a good half hour but still no buses came; I did not even see one making its return journey. What woe betides me! Here I was, standing a wet bus stop with the lesson starting in a matter of seconds. 'Should I walk and turn up half way through the lesson?' I mused. Thoughts ran through my mind with great speed. The predicament I found myself in caused immense strive within my inner most soul. Alas, it would not be worth it! I turned, and hastily made my way out of the dripping shelter and headed off to my abode. It was an executive and wise decision which I was forced to take. Indeed, knowing full well that I could learn the final few pages of text was not beyond my ken. This is the reason I find myself here today and this is the reason why later, I shall play catch up with my learning and leave it not to time nor bus to dictate my state of education. |
