Yes, the good samaritan - probably the first bible story we were taught. The female choices are good - surprised no-one has nominated Martha, who is my own favourite bible lady. King David is a real bible character - wouldn,t get a good press nowadays, though. thanks to you all. Happy days.

What about the little jewish slave maid to Naaman's wife. Although she was in captivity, she did not hold back in telling Naaman about the 'man of God' back in Isreal who she believed could cure Naaman's leprosy. What a kind heart and forgiving person she was. Dorothy

Harry, my real name is Hetty...same as my grandmother. I just love the name Esther more. Hetty
