Joanne, that's lovely to hear, good luck to him, I bet he's chuffed. My husband was left with memory impairment, thankfully only affects him when he is tired or stressed. M. |

Thats great Joanne. Physio can do wonders after a stroke - my late father-in-law made an almost complete recovery, managed to walk without a frame eventually. |

Morfydd Re my post earlier - my dad's aches and pains were caused by his stroke 7 years prior - not using one side made his muscles heavy and tight and give him loads of pain. Got a physio working on him and he is so much better - they even got him writing his name for the first time in 7 years - how cool is that Joanne |

My husband has been taking it since he had a stroke four years ago, he complains of aches and pains regularly but don't know if that's the tablets or his age. M. |

Hi Maureen - I'm on 40 mg - I was OK when on 20 mg, but now wake up every night in pain and cannot stand for long, as my hip joints hurt - they say on the leaflet that it can cause painful joints. Will have to see the doc I think. Stella |

Hi Stella Yes he is taking them again - the pain was due to a stroke he suffered a while ago and none use of his arm had caused the muscles to ache as the arm became heavier and heavier. You may have side effects and they can try you on other tablets as they did with my Dad, go back to the doctors and see what they say Joanne |

Dad takes it and had to come off it for a while to see if that was what was causing the aches and pains - In dad's case it wasn't the tablets at all Joanne |

Does anyone take Simvastatin for high cholesterol? If so, do you have side effects from it - like awful joint pains? Stella |
