I have a dilemna - I have found just 1 dress that i like but its BLACK and i wouldn't normally even consider that for a wedding..... but its stunning and if I dress it up with FUSHCIA PINK accessories (belt, shoes hat etc) do you think it would be ok?

Oh Paul - my worry is that they will think I'm bringing my mourning to their event and I'm not honest!! I have genuinely searched everywhere for THE right outfit and can't find anything at all!! ;o( Jess - great minds huh? Me thought I can't attend this event without PINK being involved!! ;o)

I wore a Black Lace (phase 8) dress, Cream Hat,Shoes and Bag for a Wedding and the outfit looked Fine. I think you will be OK as long as you dress it up with another colour.

Paul Report 30 May 2006 11:57

I've seen people in black at weddings before, so long as there's a splash of colour, I'm sure you'll be fine... I have a nice new suit to wear...

Hi Diana, I think it depends a lot on the style of the dress. Is it all covering or will you be showing a fair amount of flesh as well as the pink? I mean, arms, neck,& legs not naughty bits before anyone shoots me down. lol Vivienne

Diana! Hope you dont mind, but I thought this story was right, for ''The Occasion'' Added by Lindy in the Algarve on 22/04/2005 13:06:52 The wedding day was fast approaching. Everything was ready and nothing could dampen Debby's excitement, not even her parents' nasty divorce. Her mother, Sheila, finally found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best dressed mother of the bride, EVER! A week later, Debby was horrified to learn that her new young stepmother, Barbie, had purchased the same dress. She asked Barbie to exchange the dress, but Barbie refused, 'Absolutely not! I'm going to wear this dress. I'll look like a million bucks in it!' Debby told her mother, who graciously replied, 'Never mind dear. I'll get another dress. After all, it's YOUR special day, not hers.' Two weeks later, another dress was finally found. When they stopped for lunch, Debby asked her mother, 'What are you going to do with the first dress? Maybe you should return it. You don't have any place to wear it.' Sheila grinned and replied, 'Of course, I do, dear! I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before!' Now, what woman wouldn't like this story?! Bob!
