The time comes now, to say goodbye. The years, my goodness, how they fly, Farewell to those I’ve loved and known, pray good springs forth from things I’ve sown, Now times of loss aren’t times of ease, I have just one request please, please. From time to time remember me. For sure t’was me that shone a light, when problems rose during the night And putting forth a healing hand to souls left ravaged in this land, and justice, freedom, nay - fair play, the legacy I leave today. I do not know to where I’ve gone, or even if I linger on, but worry not, my friends of that, I won't be taking Daniel's hat. The ride with you has been a blast, good times, much love, I thank the cast. Then make a pact from that time on, to share and care for everyone. For surely nature’s gift to all, is things work best, when diverse’ stands tall. Most truly if we work together.(Our collective earthling nest to feather.) Solving problems joined as friends, cooperating to great ends. And the only law required need be, Ye shall not take away the free, from any man though different he. So long the man hurts not friends or self, who cares if he’s a naughty elf. Explore each mind, and nurture soul, make intellect and spirit whole. And make the world a better place, with dollars, justice smiles on face. And share the wealth to help the poor, to get well, stand up, walk through the door. Enjoying life forever more. Without the bloodshed, hunger, strife. (that brutish thing)we once called life. Now mind me faire as time proceeds, each man is born with certain needs, To know his nature is his creed. So let a thousand flowers grow, as Mao suggested, to and fro. Our site has reached a tricky point,the roads not clear – it’s at a joint. And we must find collective way, to heal this rift, Or all will pay. Beg look inside, your shining light. Within your heart, you know what's right. My football ... Enfield Town Ladies where my daughters and nieces played, Hertfordshire Girls Football League 4 years on League committee Middlesex where I have been fortunate to work for the county FA and Chelsea (since the early 70's) Ken xx |
