Steve that's a wonderful gesture to pop in for a surprise. Have been dealing with OH auntie lately who is going blind (mind she's in her 70's) but having a very hard time with it. OH mum went blind before she died. Kind of scarey for OH and his brother as to many of their rellies lost their sight. Hereidatary eye disease. Hope you have a good visit and you will sure make is day. Debs |

'In my Life' beautiful words in that song Steve. Shock for you to hear of your friend losing his sight, those lyrics must mean a lot, about your friendship together. Sadly have had friends die,and I always think of the song 'The way we were' about happier, younger times. Music is so strong in bringing us both happy and sad memories. Would be lovely for you to meet up again. Mau XXX |

awh Steve, think we all relate to things from our comfort zones when we hear bad news, and yes music is my first choice to slip into the comfort at the same time like Gwen some songs also bring sad memories. Daughter bought me a CD for christmas, put it on and wasn't expecting one certain song to be on it. When it started playing all I could picture was my Dad standing cooking Sunday breakfast and belting the song at the top of his lungs. I cried like a baby and just couldn't stop, he's been gone for almost 13 years now. Luv Deb |

Steve I have been thinking about your friend,Maybe he wanted to find out who were still friends,do you think maybe he needs you at this moment in time, did he say how long he had been blind for,and are there things that in summer certain memories are suddenly important and he wants to talk about,or maybe he just wants a friend, Gwenxxx |

You are NOT a 'soft old sod' Steve. you are a warm caring human being... in short... a nice man. AND I still have not managed to sort my 'pooter'. Son said it is just on stand by!! But I've never noticed that before!! Deanna X |

No, I think many men are the same, they just don't say it. It just means you are feeling sad for what your friend has lost..... |
