Morning all Got up this morning in a great mood, fired up the computers (i keep GR open on the lappy) and started work on the logo for my new site. Read a few postes on GR then about an hour ago my mobile rang, it was from an old pal who moved away a few years ago I hadnt spoken to him for about a year so it was a great supprise, we chatted for a while then out of the blue he said ''Steve mate forgot to tell you i'm totaly blind now'' After he hung up i had this urge to listen to one song why i dont know Any one else do that when they hear bad or distressing new from a friend ????? Steve

what song did you listen too? I tend to look at things if I hear bad news, as most of my family can't hear and looking at things rather than listening was what we always did!! xx

It gives you thinking time to take stock of the news and get it into persepective, obviously your friend has come to terms with his blindness but it is new news to you. Listen to your song and reflect xxhugxx

Evening Steve Sorry to hear of your friend's problem. It must be very difficult for him. I would rather lose my hearing than my eye sight. Positive thoughts winging their way to him and you too. Trifley x

Steve hun - sorry to hear of your friends news - must have been a bolt out of the blue for you :O( (((HUGS))) Most events or people in my life have some song or other that I associate with them past or present. And talking of hearing shocking news - I heard last night that the first lad I ever dated (son of Dad's cycling cronie) - disappeared from home in Feb 2004 - suffering with depression. His body has just recently been found in woods near his hometown ....... poor fella :O( ((HUGS)) to everyone who has had sad news recently xxxx

No, I think many men are the same, they just don't say it. It just means you are feeling sad for what your friend has lost.....
