Its daft isn't it? A whiteboard to me is the type you have in most offices that you use markers on. A blackboard is black for gawd's sake..... Black people are happy to be called Black so what is the issue? ;o( |

It would appear so. A chalk board is an excellent idea - it is more correct then a whiteboard |

My Daughter was on about writing on the whiteboard the other day, I said we had Blackboards in our day so she said it is Black but we have to say White now. As far as I know that is the colour they have to say and if that is the case they should change the colour of the board. Tracey.x |

Is there a problem with calling a blackboard a blackboard then.? If they must change the name, call it a chalkboard......or is there a problem with chalk as well? |

I was just reading my magazine whilst eating lunch and there was a picture in the article of a teacher writing on a blackboard, but the caption said he was writing on a whiteboard. I know for a fact this is not correct as the board was the same colour as my winter boots and the same as my car (which the sales man assured me was black, and it says black on the registration!). So if black is now called white, what do they call white these days - this is all very confusing for foriegners learning the language |
